Secrets to living Med Free Bipolar

One of the things that I have found that is key to me being able to stay off meds, despite a serious Bipolar I diagnosis, is taking a varied vitamin supplement regime. I have been taking the spectrum of vitamins from http://www.Truehope.com now for over ten years.  They are amazing at finding out what you are on now and talking you through how to take both therapies as well as helping clients who want to wean back slowly over time. Of course you should discuss your plans with your doctor.  Many scientific studies point to nutrition as the root cause of all health and disease, and I feel it is the secret to curing mental health issues as well. I could go one for days as to what I think about diet in the general public, but I won’t today.

  1. I tried Truehope in 2008 to no avail, but I am totally open to anything nutrition-oriented. I know that what works for one person so well may not work for another and you have to keep trying different modalities. I am a big believer in the power of fish oils as there have been incredible studies done by Dr. Stoll attesting to the efficacy of high potency fish oils in successfully treating bipolar symptoms.

Two documentaries I saw recently that really affected me in terms of diet and mental/physical health were “Fat, Sick and Nearly Dead” and “Crazy, Sexy Cancer” and I loved them both! I love inspiring stories of all kinds and this blog is fantastic.
